In, Maharashtra schools from class IX to XII will open after Diwali with proper precautions for the safety of students in view of covid-19 pandemic. This direction came from State Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at a meeting which was attended by State school education minister Varsha Gaikwad, Minister of State Bachchu Kadu and Additional Chief Secretary Vandana Krishna.<br />'' <br />''The Chief Minister further said that considering the global situation, the possibility of another wave of Corona cannot be ruled out. He said quarantine centers set up in schools cannot be closed and therefore local administration should decide whether the schools in such places can be started in an alternative space.<br />'' <br />''The Chief Minister has also appealed to the parents not to send the child to school if he or she is ill or any family member in the child's household is ill.<br />'' <br />''During the meeting, Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad informed that the RTPCR test of all teachers will be conducted between November 17 and 22 before the commencement of school. She said thermal checking of students will be done in schools starting from 23rd November.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Gaikwad said only one student will be seated on one bench and students should bring food from home and also bring their own water bottle. She said there will be a four-hour school in which only difficult subjects like science, mathematics and English will be taught and there will be facility of online classes for other subjects.</span><br />
