Maharashtra on Wednesday reported 221 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases to 78,79,843. According to the State's Public Health Department, 211 patients recovered from the infection during the day while one patient succumbed to it. Accordingly, the total number of recoveries stand at 77,30,581 while the death toll has risen to 1,47,850.
