<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, Health Minister Rajesh Tope today said that the recovery rate in state for the month of May for the COVID-19 patients has increased to 43.35 per cent, which is 3.5 times the recovery rate recorded in March. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">After analyzing the data of last three months, it was found that maximum number of patients were cured and discharged from various hospitals in the month of May. The Minister informed that the doubling rate too had gone up from 11 to 17.5 days. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports,the Health Minister said,when the first Corona virus patient was found in Maharashtra in March, the recovery rate was at 12.91 per cent, which increased to 16.88 per cent in April. In March, out of 302 patients, 39 were cured while in April out of 10,498 patients, 1,773 patients were cured. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">By May end, the state had 67,655 patients of which 29,329 were cured. He added that in the last week of May, a record 8,000 patients were cured and discharged across the state. He gave the credit of this to the measures taken by the government, early lockdown, frontline workers and employees and revised discharge policy issued by the Centre.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a big relief to the kins of Corona virus victims, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has taken a major decision of home-delivering five PPE kits to the relatives of the Corona virus victim, so that they are able to see their dead relative. These kits will also help in protecting the relatives from contracting infection. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Thane Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar today issued the prohibitory orders, extending till June 30 the restrictions on assembly of people under CrPC section 144 in Thane city to curb the spread of Corona virus.</span>
