Maharashtra's Public Health Department has claimed that the state's transparent and effective methods to control the spread of Corona virus infection have yielded results.<br />'' <br />''A statement informs that Maharashtra is ranked sixth in the country in terms of COVID cases and deaths reported per million. AIR correspondent reports that according to Maharashtra's  Public Health Department, the state ranks below Delhi, Goa, Pondicherry, Kerala and Chandigarh in terms of new infections of Corona virus and the resultant mortality rate per million. It added that as of 3rd February, Kerala recorded a growth rate 0.6 per cent while Maharashtra's rate stood at just 0.10 per cent.<br />'' <br />'' It added that programmes like 'My Family, My Responsibility' were seriously implemented, following which cases started to decline despite the huge inflow of foreign passengers into cities like Mumbai and Pune and the presence of Asia's biggest slum in Dharavi.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Accordingly, with active cases on decline, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai is mulling to resume local train services for general passengers, even during peak hours. MCGM's Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani has informed that since there is no rise in the number of new cases after the recent resumption of local services in dedicated non-peak hours, the civic body will review the situation over the next 15 days and accordingly allow passengers at all time slots.</span><br />
