Maharashtra Pollution Board attributes rising air pollution to construction and development activities

<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board has concluded that construction and other development activities in Pune city and surrounding areas are responsible for the increasing air pollution in Pune city and the necessary information is being collected for further action. Currently, large-scale constructions are going on in Pune city and its surroundings and ready-mix concrete is used for the purpose. It has been observed that a large amount of dust is spread in the vicinity of these concrete-making projects. At the same time, in many places in the suburbs near the city, the projects of breaking stones and making gravel are going on and due to this the level of air pollution has increased. Extensive excavation and other constructions are going on for various infrastructure projects in the city and it is having an adverse effect on the air quality of the city.</span><br />
