Maharashtra Polls: Congress, NCP seat sharing talks remain inconclusive, to meet again

The seat sharing talks between the Congress-NCP are yet to reach a conclusion, even as nominations for the Maharashtra assembly elections close this Friday.
The seat sharing talks held between the Congress-NCP alliance in Mumbai today for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections remained inconclusive.

The meeting was held at Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's official residence – Varsha. Senior Congress leader Narayan Rane told reporters that the two sides have decided to meet again at 8.30 tonight as no solution could be arrived at in this meeting.

Marathon discussions have been going on in both the party bastions ahead of this meeting. An NCP core committee meeting was held in Mumbai yesterday attended by party chief Sharad Pawar. A meeting of Congress leaders was also held at chief minister Prithviraj Chavan’s official residence Varsha to discuss the issue which went on till late in the night.
