However, no charge sheet can be filed in court in cases registered against him.<br />''</span><br />''The apex Court in its order today, extended the interim protection granted to Singh, till January 11, 2022.<br />''<br />''The Supreme court observed that prima facie it was of the view that the probe in this case should be investigated by the other agency and not by the state police.<br />''<br />''A bench of the apex Court, headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul was hearing the appeal filed by Singh. He had challenged the probe against him by the Maharashtra government and sought protection against arrest in the alleged extortion case.<br />''<br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Supreme Court in its order granted one week time to the CBI, to file its response over Param Bir Singh's petition.  Next hearing in this case will take place on January 11, 2022.</span><br />
