<span style="color: black;">In Maharashtra,<b> </b>Jayant Mankale, a partially-visually impaired youth from Beed district in Marathawada region has cracked the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission with  143rd rank in All India Ranking. It is the story of grit and determination.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">A strong determination and perseverance can make a person walk on the path of glory and something similar is being witnessed in the case of Jayant Mankale who has achieved his dream to become an IAS officer. Overcoming various odds in life Mr. Mankale has been able to see this glorious day in his life. Keeping his morale high, Jayant Mankale did not lose the battle even after suffering from Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare genetic disorder that breaks down cells in the retina which leads to loss of vision, when he began to work. Being a Maintenance Engineer himself, he quit his job to appear for the competitive examination. Unable to read, he took help of audio books to learn various lessons for the examination. While expressing gratitude to his mother and friends, Mr. Mankale says they helped him in his endeavour. He says his mother and friends read out the lessons for him which was a stepping stone in his success. </span><br />
