The ruling MVA alliance has managed to secure seven seats out of total Nine seats of the Nagar Panchayats in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />'' Elections for Nine Nagar Panchayats namely Bhamragad, Etapalli, Mulchera, Korchi, Aheri, Sironcha, Chamorshi, Dhanora, and Kurkheda were held in two phases on 21st December and 18th January. The counting of votes will be started from 10 am.<br />'' <br />'' According to AIR correspondent, the counting of votes would soon be completed and as per the current trend, it is seen that voters have voted in favor of Mahavikas Aghadi. However, in the southern Nagar Panchayats of Aheri, Sironcha, Etapalli, the key to power is in the hands of the Adivasi Vidyarthi Sangh. Today's results show that Shiv Sena was not able to show much influence even after the Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde held a campaign rally.<br />'' <br />'' This year, the Bharatiya Janata Party contested the elections in the district independently, while the Shiv Sena joined hands with the Congress in some Nagar Panchayats and with the NCP in for a few seats.
