Out of which a total of 12,81,712 students emerged successful. In a release, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education chairperson Shakuntala Kale said the total pass percentage of the state was recorded at 90.66 per cent this year, a significant jump of 4.78 per cent compared to last year's pass percentage of 85.88 per cent.<br />''<br />'' Girls once again outshined boys as 93.88 per cent girls who appeared for exams passed compared to 88.04 per cent boys.<br />'' Science students recorded the highest pass percent in the HSC 2020 exam with 96.93. There has been an improvement of 4.33 percent from last year. Arts stream recorded 82.63, commerce 91.27 and vocational 95.07 pass percent.<br />''<br />'' Among districts, Konkan division emerged as the best-performing region with 95.89 percent in the Maharashtra board HSC or Class 12 exams. While Pune division bagged the second position with 92.50 percent.
