<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that the state is in a critical stage in its battle against COVID 19. He added that it can stop the progress of the infection to stage 3. Mr. Thackeray held a video-conference with divisional commissioners, district collectors and police officials yesterday evening about the measures to stop the spread of the virus. He said that the need of the hour is to break the chain of virus infection to stop its spread.The Chief Minister asked the authorities to ensure that essential commodities and services remain uninterrupted and appealed people to stay at home. He added that steps should be taken to ensure hospitals are not overburdened and non-emergency surgeries should be postponed, if possible.</span><br />
