Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope hints at more than week-long lockdown in state

<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra public health minister Rajesh Tope today hinted at more than a week-long lockdown in the state in the wake of raging cases of Covid-19.<br />'' <br />'' In his video message, Mr. Tope informed people that the government has not yet imposed the lockdown in the state.<br />'' <br />'' However, he said that the state government is seriously contemplating on imposing lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.<br />'' <br />'' He said, Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has held deliberations with people from various sectors in last one week and has taken them into confidence on imposition of lockdown.  <br />'' <br />'' He said, during the all-party meeting too leaders from the opposition party have been taken into confidence.<br />'' <br />'' Tope said, a common ground has been achieved with opposition party leaders on imposing lockdown.<br />'' <br />'' The health minister said, the final decision on lockdown will be taken by the Chief Minister.<br />'' <br />'' He said if the lockdown is announced then industries should take care of their workers and appealed the labourers not to leave the state.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the Chief minister held a meeting with Covid -19 taskforce on prevailing situation and to take a call on lockdown.</span><br />
