Maharashtra Health Minister Dr. Rajesh Tope says, number of Mucormycosis patients found along with COVID patients calls for increased precautionary measures

Maharashtra Health Minister Dr. Rajesh Tope said that the number of Mucormycosis patients are also found along with thousands of COVID patients, this is an alarm bell to increase precautionary measures. He said, lockdown is useful to break the chain and therefore, the proposal of extension of lockdown for at least 15 days was discussed in today's State Cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Udhhav Thackery will take decision in this regard within two-three days.<br />'' <br />''At present, there are 20 lakh vaccines left in the state and 20 lakh citizens are in queue for a second dose of vaccination. Therefore, the government has decided to give priority to the second vaccination only at Vaccination Centres and also decided to stop vaccination immediately to people aged between 18 and 44 years. <br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He further said that the decision of vaccination to the age between 18-44 years will take within four to five days. He further said that after receiving vaccines from Serum Institute, Pune, we will think about Journalists' vaccination.
