In Maharashtra, the Health Department has said that no significant change was seen in Covid19 infection in children after reviewing the data of Covid19 patients of past six months in the state. This was informed by the additional chief secretary of health department of the state Dr. Pradeep Vyas.<br />'' <br />''He said that in the backdrop of the possibility of the third wave which may have more paediatric infections, the state has already established task force of paediatricians. He added that it is working to improve infrastructure at the hospital level and setting up the required machinery to combat the possible outbreak of the virus among minors.<br />'' <br />''Dr. Pradeep Vyas has said that the state government is monitoring the agewise trend of Covid-19 patients in the state in the backdrop of the possibility of increase in the Covid-19  infection among children. It was found that the infection was 1.3 percent in the age group of 0 to 5 years, 2.4 percent in 6 to 11 years,  4.1 percent in the 12 to 17 years during November 2020 to April 2021.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The percentage of the whole age group between zero to 17 years was 7.8 percent. No significant variation was seen in the analysis of monthwise data and slight increase was seen in April 2021 and May 2021 but it was due to the steep rise in overall number of patients.</span><br />
