Maharashtra govt withdraws Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing Development and Regulation Act Ordinance

Maharashtra government has withdrawn the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing Development and Regulation Act Ordinance which was passed in lower house yesterday. The bill is withdrawn in upper house. The traders had observed a one day-bandh on Tuesday against the government's decision to de-notify all agri-commodities from the purview of the mandis. The traders and workers at APMC went on indefinite strike against the new APMC law. State Marketing Minister Subhash Deshmukh said that government will now consider the demands of traders and mathadi workers.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Narendra Patil, the General Secretary of Maharashtra Rajya Mathadi, Transport and general workers Union had said that they are happy with this decision and will soon withdraw the strike. </span><br />
