<span style="color: #222222;">The Maharashtra government has decided to revise its Covid-19 testing strategy for its front-line workers mainly for police and medical personnel by using an ICMR-approved antigen test kits. The rapid antigen kits, called Standard Q Covid-19 Ag detection, provides results within an-hour, which help to decide the further course of treatment for a serious patient at the earliest. It is also to be used to know the prevalence of the pandemic among masses.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the antibody test is being done to check whether the workers have developed antibodies after being exposed to the coronavirus affected person.  <br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has informed that one lakh antigen test kits will soon be made available in the state. While making policy decisions in this regard, the state government has decided that antigen tests  would be primarily conducted on the frontline COVID-19 workers, such as essential services staff, health workers, police and others.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, the state government and Mumbai civic body decided to undertake rapid antibody tests in the state to limit the spread of Covid-19. Both the authorities have asked private companies, corporate houses and hospitals to undertake antibody test of their employees.</span> <br />
