<span style="color: #222222;">On the backdrop of emerging cases of Delta Plus variant, the Maharashtra Government is gearing up to increase speed of the vaccination drive in the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today said that the State Government is ready to vaccinate 15 lakh people per day against COVID-19.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking virtually at the inauguration function of a jumbo COVID Care Centre (CCC) in suburban Malad, Mr Thackeray said, the need of the hour was to be more cautious and remain considering the threat of a possible third wave of the pandemic.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, the new variant of COVID-19 and possibility of third wave of the pandamic has now forced the Maharashtra Government to re-impose restrictions in the state from today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Udhdhav Thackeray once again cautioned people to continue to follow the COVID Appropriate Behaviour and avoid crowding.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Thackeray said that at present the second wave has subsided, however, it can revert back in the form of new variant called Delta Plus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He asserted that though Delta Plus has not spread yet, it is dominating the state and the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CM said that to protect the citizen from the threat of further spread of COVID-19 the State Government has speeded up vaccination drive.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A total of 3,11,59,607 people have been vaccinated so far against COVID-19 in Maharashtra.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On June 26, Maharashtra set a new record for itself by vaccinating more than seven lakh people in a day.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CM added that his government was first to erect a jumbo COVID facility at Bandra-Kurla Complex in a record time and now the government is coming up with four new COVID Centres in metropolis including the one started today in suburban Malad. </span><br />''  <br />
