<span style="color: #222222;">Due to the rising Covid infections in Maharashtra, the state government has stepped up the vaccination drive and allowed vaccination centres in the state to operate round-the-clock if they have adequate staff. Mumbai has allowed private hospitals to operate beyond working hours and has kept the daily vaccination target of 1 lakh.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that due to tremendous raising in Covid cases, the state government is vaccinating the people free of cost at government hospitales and also allowed hospitales to keep open </span><span style="color: #202124;">24×7</span><span style="color: #222222;">if there is inadequate staff. As per the state health department, Maharashtra vaccinated as many as 2 lakh 54 thousand 956 people in a span of 24 hours against the novel coronavirus on Friday. Out of the total number of vaccinations during the last 24 hours, 2lakh 46 thousand and 954 were administered the Covishield vaccine and 8 thousand  two were given the Covaxin vaccine. With this, the total vaccinated in the state has climbed to 26 lakh, 89 thousand and 922.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier, the state government has decided that people who will vaccinate at private hospitals need to pay for vaccines. However, the government has maintained that private hospitals can only charge up to Rs 250 /-and this arrangement will remain effective till further orders.</span><br />''  <br />
