<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Government has set-up a four member committee to fix the charges for conducting CT-scan tests across all state hospitals. State health minister Rajesh Tope has said that following numerous complaints regarding overcharging by various hospitals, the government has decided to set up a committee that will recommend price caps for these tests.<br />'' <br />'' The committee, headed by Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, CEO of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Aarogya Yojana will discuss the issue with private hospitals and labs conducting High Resolution CT scans. In the fight against COVID-19, these tests have assumed importance as they reveal the level of infection in the patient. The committee will submit its report within one week.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, a Pune hospital has successfully treated, probably the world's first case of co-infection of COVID-19 and dengue among children. In a press release, the Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital has informed that the 12 year old had complaints of high-grade fever, sore throat, malaise and nausea. She also had the comorbid condition of being overweight. Once in isolation, the child was closely monitored for temperature, blood pressure, oral intake and hydration status, resulting in her recovery within a span of ten days.<br />'' <br />''Associate director of the hospital's neonatology and pediatrics department Dr Rahul Kallianpur has called for physicians to be increasingly aware of this emerging phenomenon of co-infection during the rainy season. </span>
