<span style="color: #222222;">The Maharashtra government has set up a 13-member task force to study problems related to transport services in the state and suggest measures on how to run them effectively in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.<br />''<br />''So far, there is limited movement of public transport services in the state to contain the spread of coronavirus.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, as per a government resolution (GR) state Transport Minister Anil Parab will head this task force.<br />''<br />''The task force also includes additional chief secretary (transport), secretary (roads), besides, various bodies of goods and passenger transporters have been given representation in the task force.<br />''<br />''The task force will study problems related to transport services in the state and suggest measures on how to run them effectively in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.<br />''<br />''On the other hand, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has decided to implement special action plan across several departments with an aim to improve the duration in areas where doubling rate is less than the average.<br />''<br />''Over the last 19 days, i.e. from June 3rd to June 22nd the number of coronavirus cases in Mumbai have been under control.<br />''<br />''Several areas, especially the slums in Mumbai which earlier were the hotspots have shown a steady improvement and this is apparent from the number of cases of Covid-19 coming down in Dharavi and Worli localities of the metropolis.<br />''<br />''However, on the other hand there has been a rise in the cases in parts of  North Mumbai for which the Mumbai municipal corporation has launched a rapid action program where mobile dispensaries and vans will reach the premises for screening.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, in some positive news the doubling rate of Covid patients in Mumbai has further slowed down to 39 days.<br />''<br />''In some of the wards of the city like H-East, F-North, E & L-wards the doubling rate has slowed down to 88 days, 82 days, 74 and 70 days.<br />''<br />''In three out of the 24 wards the doubling rate is less than one per cent. whereas in 10 wards it is less than 2 per cent.<br />''<br />''In addition to this in other eight wards the doubling rate is below 1.5 per cent.</span><br />
