Maharashtra govt. says, it is undertaking IEC programmes to create awareness about COVID-19 vaccine

<span style="color: #222222;">The Maharashtra government today said that it has been counselling and undertaking Information, Education and Communication (IEC) programmes to create awareness among health and frontline workers to get themselves vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. State Health Minister, Rajesh Tope said, short video clips have been made highlighting the safety aspect of the vaccines and the same are being sent to the health workers.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, Mr. Tope also said that both Serum Institute of India's Covishield vaccine and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin are safe as the scientists have approved them. He said, the health workers should take initiative to take the shots of COVID-19 preventive vaccine. He also urged the media to desist from reporting any wrong information on the vaccine that may lead to confusion among people.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">?As per the guidelines laid by the Centre, Tope said he too was ready to take the jab of COVID-19 preventive vaccine which will only help in instilling trust among people on taking the vaccine.</span><br />''
