Maharashtra's Transport Minister Anil Parab on Friday announced that the government is giving another chance to employees of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation- MSRTC to call off their strike and resume work. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai on Friday, Mr. Parab said, many employees have expressed their desire to join back and accordingly a decision has been made to allow all workers to report back to their depots by Monday evening. He clarified that even those who have been suspended or terminated can join the service. This comes a week after the Maharashtra Government announced that it will not revoke suspensions of about ten thousand employees.<br />''  <br />'' Mr. Parab reiterated that the merger of MSRTC with the state government will only be possible if the court-appointed committee submits a recommendation in that regard. Considering that the committee has still got two months' time to submit its final report, Mr. Parab said the government cannot take an independent decision in this regard. The minister added that the government has suffered a loss of about 550 crore rupees so far due to the strike.
