Maharashtra govt decides to act strictly against absent employees

<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra government has decided to act strictly against those employees who do not report to work. A notification in this regard states that disciplinary action will be taken against those who remain absent.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As per a notification issued by additional chief secretary – finance Manoj Saunik, disciplinary action will be taken against those who remain absent. Besides, if an employee remains absent during the assigned day, he/she will lose pay for an entire week. The notification said that all government departments have been asked to prepare a roaster of officers and employees affiliated to them. However, those on sanctioned leave or medical leave will be exempt.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The order will come into effect from 8th June. The notification was issued after it came to light that employees were not reporting to work during the lockdown and some had even left for their hometowns.</span> <br />
