Maharashtra Government appointed special public prosecutor in rape and murder case of 10th September 2021. <br />''<br />''Advocate Raja Mane has been appointed in this case.<br />''<br />'' Maharashtra's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today held meeting with vice chairman of National SC & ST commission Mr. Arun haldar and assured that strict action will be taken against accused. <br />''<br />''Mr. Thackeray also assured that all possible help will be provided to the family of deceased. <br />''<br />''Mr. Haldar expressed satisfaction over the progress of investigation. <br />''<br />''He requested all attempts should be made so that accused gets death sentence.<br />''<br />''Chief Minister said, kin of deceased will be provided all help under various scheme of Woman and Child Development department as well as Social Justice Department. <br />''<br />''All assistance will also be provided for education of children. Mr. Thackeray requested Mr. Haldar to suggest union government about a scheme to provide shelter to homeless women and children.<br />''<br />'' <br />''Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant nagrale said that charges under SC/ST atrocities have also been invoked against the accused in Sakinaka rape case.<br />'' <br />''Addressing a Press Conference, Mr. Nagrale said that the accused who has been given police custody till September 21st has reportedly confessed to the crime. <br />''<br />''He said that, the investigation would be completed within 15 days. Currently police are gathering forensic evidence in this case<br />'' <br />''Joint Commissioner of Police Milind Bharambe informed that, currently 5 thousand CCTV are installed on roads in the Mumbai City.
