<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Government has appealed to all the citizens to stay at home and offer tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Din which is observed on 6th of December. Every year, lakhs of citizens gather at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar, Mumbai.<br />''<br />'' But, this year due to the concerns relating to the new COVID variant Omicron, the State Government has requested everyone to stay at home. Live telecast of events at Chaityabhoomi will be done on Doordarshan. Full vaccination for COVID-19 and following all the protocols will be mandatory for those who are willing to attend functions at Chaityabhoomi. Any kind of meeting, protest or rally will not be allowed at Chaityabhoomi. The Government has clarified that, permission will not be given for book and food stalls at the venue.<br />''<br />'' Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale has also requested all the citizens to stay at home and offer their tribute to Dr. Ambedkar from home. </span><br />
