Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has conveyed his desire to step down from his political responsibilities. A statement issued from Mumbai's Raj Bhavan informed that Mr. Koshyari spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard during the latter's recent visit to Mumbai.<br />''<br />''The statement quotes Mr. Koshyari, saying that it was an absolute honour and privilege to serve as the Rajya Sevak or Rajyapal of a great State like Maharashtra, the land of saints, social reformers and valiant fighters. He has added that he could never forget the love and affection received from the people of Maharashtra during his tenure of a little more than three years. Conveying his desire to be discharged of all political responsibilities, Mr. Koshyari wishes to spend the remainder of his life in reading, writing and other activities.<br />''<br />''<br />
