<span style="color: #222222;">Citing the success of 'My Family, My Responsibility' in tracing COVID-19 patients, the Maharashtra Government has started a new campaign to detect patients suffering from leprosy and tuberculosis. The month-long campaign that began today will cover over 8.66 crore people, including over 6 crore people in rural areas. Making an appeal to citizens to cooperate with survey teams, Maharashtra's Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the door to door campaign will ensure that patients suffering from leprosy or tuberculosis are not deprived of the required medical attention in these testing times of COVID-19. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Considering a heavy decline in the number of TB patients as compared to last year, the survey assumes importance in order to arrest the spread of this infectious disease from people who are avoiding the test for the fear of being quarantined. The government has informed that it will bear the entire cost of treatment for patients whose results come positive for these diseases. In Mumbai, the survey began from G South Ward. Mumbai's civic body plans to survey over 50 lakh people, not just for TB and leprosy but also for COVID-19 by the end of this month.</span>
