<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today distributed financial aid of 50 lakh rupees to sportspersons from the state to help them prepare for the Tokyo Olympics. The historical sporting event got rescheduled to 2021 from 2020 due to the Corona virus outbreak.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A statement from the Chief Minister's office (CMO) informed that renowned shooters Rahi Sarnobat and Tejaswini Sawant were among the five sportspersons from Maharashtra who were given the aid. It was as part of the state's Mission Olympics Scheme to prepare for the mega event.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The function was held at CM's official residence 'Varsha' in south Mumbai today. It informed that steeplechaser Avinash Sable and archer Pravin Jadhav were also given the equivalent aid. International para-shooter Swaroop Unalkar, who is preparing for the Paralympics, was also given similar aid at the function, which was attended by Deputy Chief Mminister Ajit Pawar, Minister Aditi Tatkare and others.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
