Maharashtra extends term of Adarsh inquiry commission

Maharashtra government has given an extension of six months to the two-member inquiry commission probing the Adarsh Society scam. This was disclosed by the Commission’s Secretary, N N Kumbhar today. The Commission was set up by the Maharashtra government to probe the alleged irregularities in the Adarsh Housing Society scam. Former Bombay High Court Chief Justice J A Patil heads the Commission, while former Maharashtra Chief Secretary P Subramanian is the other member.
