The Election Commission of India has declared by-elections to Satara Parliamentary Constituency after three-time Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Udayanraje Bhosale resigned, leaving the seat vacant.  The by-polls would take place on October 21, along with the Assembly elections and the counting will done on the same day as of Assembly elections, October 24, 2019.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Bhosale was elected to the Lok Sabha as a Nationalist Congress Party candidate in 2009, 2014 and 2019 parliamentary elections. Before that, in 1998 he was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and the Maharashtra Minister of State for Revenue in the Bharatiya Janata Party government. In September 2019, he announced his return to the BJP ahead of the Maharashtra legislative assembly elections. </span><br />
