Maharashtra: Digi-Dhan Mela begins in Mumbai

The Digi-Dhan Mela began in Mumbai. The state government has organised a day-long Digi-Dhan Mela today at Fort Campus of Mumbai University where it will provide assistance and train people to use online platforms to conduct transactions. State Additional Secretary, D.K. Jain, inaugurated the day long mela. <br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports that Digi Dhan Mela being held in Mumbai aims to generate awareness among citizens and merchants about various digital payment systems available. E wallet, telecom and transport companies, Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra operators, Fair Price Shop Owners, vendors selling electronic goods, foodstuffs, textiles, handicrafts and fashion accessories, Self Help Groups from National Payments Corporation of India and Aadhar authorities are participating in the event. It also aims to handhold users in downloading, installing and using various digital payment systems for carrying out digital transactions. The initiative plans to enable citizens and merchants to undertake real time digital transactions through the Digi Dhan Mela.<br/>
