Maharashtra: Devendra Fadnavis slams State Govt on Corona crisis

<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, former Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has slammed the State Government and alleged that the Administration has not been able to handle the Corona crisis in the state properly. Mr Fadnavis was speaking at BJP office in Mumbai while taking part in agitation 'Maharashtra Bachao Andolan' by party workers from their backyards at home across the state maintaining the social distancing norm.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, in spite of Maharashtra being the worst- affected by COVID-19 state in the country, it has not declared any relief package for its citizens while other states like Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat have already announced their packages. He alleged moreover the funds coming from the Centre are also not being spent.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Fadnavis lamented the agriculture has come to a standstill and with the Kharif season looming, the situation is dire. He said, there is an urgent need to provide a package for all the poor such as unorganized workers, rickshaw pullers, taxi drivers, laborers, who live on daily earnings.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on tackling Corona virus crisis, Mr Fadnavis said, the government has not yet taken health care seriously the consequences of which could be dire. He said, the govt has failed to provide adequate care to COVID patients, nor proper protection is given to the COVID Warriors.</span> <br />
