Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis condemns Rahul Gandhi's controversial statement against Veer Savarkar

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's controversial statement against Vinayak Damodar Savarkar that he was getting a stipend from the British.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;"><br />''</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Mr. Fadnavis slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that he has once again insulted Veer Savarkar, who was an inspiration to thousands of youngsters during the freedom struggle. Mr. Fadnavis said, such statements reflect Mr. Gandhi's knowledge of Indian history. He said, Savarkar was among very few freedom fighters who spent a long time at a prison in Kaala Pani. He added that no one could erase the image of Veer Savarkar from the hearts and minds of Indians. Mr. Fadnavis further questioned whether Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackery would condemn Mr. Gandhi's statement and whether he would send Shiv Sainiks to the Bharat Jodo Yatra.</span></p>
