A delegation of ministers from the Maharashtra cabinet today called on Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and requested him accept the recommendation of the state cabinet which has decided to nominate Shiv Sena chief and incumbent Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to one of the two seats of governor nominees in the legislative council.<br />'' <br />'' The delegation comprised deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, and senior ministers Chhagan Bhujbal and Jayant Patil.<br />'' <br />'' In a cabinet meeting which was chaired by Ajit Pawar yesterday it was decided to recommend to Koshyari to nominate Thackeray to one of the two seats of governor nominees in the Council.<br />'' <br />'' A similar request was made to the governor earlier this month at another cabinet meeting, also chaired by Pawar.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Thackeray's plans to become a legislator through election suffered a setback as all elections were postponed by the Election Commission in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.<br />
