Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar has informed that the state government has decided to cancel the Class 12 state board examinations in view of the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 and a possible third wave. The state government's decision to scrap final examinations comes after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled their 12th board exams. The Maharashtra State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has given its nod to the proposal sent by the state education department to cancel Class 12 exams. The evaluation criteria for Class 12 students will be released soon.
