Maharashtra: Covid-19 vaccination drive gaining momentum in state

<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, even as the cases of Covid-19 are surging in state, the vaccination drive has been gaining momentum with each passing day. Yesterday, more than 91 thousand beneficiaries were inoculated for Covid-19. So far, about 16 lakh people have taken the jabs.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile over 10 thousand positive cases of Covid-19 were reported in Maharashtra yesterday, which is the highest daily infection since mid-October last year. 10 staffers of a famous restaurant in Mumbai have tested positive for Covid-19. Maharashtra government recently said that they are not contemplating a complete lockdown across the state. Restrictions have been imposed in various parts of Vidarbha. In Western Vidarbha, Amravati District Collector has issued an order for relaxing a weeklong curfew.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It will be applicable to Municipal limits from tomorrow.During these relaxations, Essential services  will be fully operational while other shops will be allowed to open from 9 in morning till 4 in evening. Buldana and Washim district in west Vidarbha will also have similar prohibitory orders. Shops in Akola are also allowed to open in stipulated timing wherein shopkeepers are made mandatory to undergo RT-PCR testing.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nagpur District  administration has decided to extend ongoing weekend lockdown till March 14th. Yesterday, after a gap of nearly four months, more than 10 thousand cases were registered, becoming a cause of concern for the State health authorities.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief minister Uddhav Thackrey  while speaking in the legislative assembly had recently said that he was not thinking of imposing another lockdown, but asked people to wear masks, maintain social distancing and take care of their hygiene. Meanwhile, 10 staff members of Radha Krishna restaurant in Andheri (West) have tested positive for Covid-19. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Greater  Mumbai Municipal Corporation  authorities said that all these 10 people have been shifted to Bandra Kurla Complex Jumbo Covid Centre. Following the incident, the restaurant has been shut for two days to carry out sanitisation. There are a total of 35 staff members at the restaurant.</span><br />''
