<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra continues to maintain its top position in the country in the COVID-19 vaccination drive, with 3,38,57,372 total doses administered in the state till 6 p.m. today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Dr Pradeep Vyas informed that today yet again the state has surpassed its previous best performance in COVID vaccination.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said a total 7,85,311 COVID vaccine doses were administered till 7 P.M. today, which is the highest ever single day figure for the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, in good news regarding effectiveness of anti-COVID vaccine, Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Suresh Kakani said that during the second wave, a smaller number of people in Mumbai have been found infected with Corona virus after receiving both doses.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He was speaking during an interview with All India Radio, Mumbai.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, speaking to All India Radio, Mumbai, Mr. Suresh Kakani, Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that during the second wave of Corona virus, out of those who took the first dose of COVID-19 preventive vaccine in Mumbai, 10,500 people became infected with the virus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said the ratio is 2.66  per cent more than the victims of the second wave.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, of those who received the second dose of the vaccine, only 26 were found to be infected with Corona.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to Mr. Kakani, this ratio is only 0.001 per cent  compared to the victims of the second wave.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is collecting data on beneficiaries who were hospitalised after having received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The aim is to study the efficacy of vaccines and how many were protected from Corona virus after taking the jab.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Total 57,05,868 people were vaccinated in Mumbai till Friday.</span><br />''  <br />
