The personal residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has been declared as a containment zone after a tea vendor near Matoshree has tested positive for the infection. <br />'' <br />'' While it is not clear how the vendor contracted the infection, samples of over 270 people who may have come in direct or indirect contact have been taken for testing. <br />'' <br />'' Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said that police personnel deployed at Thackeray's residence will also be quarantined and tested. <br />'' <br />'' As the number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra inches towards 900, the state government urged citizens to strictly follow lockdown norms and avoid stepping out of their homes for frivolous reasons. Assuring that the state has enough supplies of all essential commodities, the government has appealed citizens not to indulge in hoarding.<br />
