AIR correspondent reports that ,taking serious note of the concerns of the Covid-19 warriors, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, in a letter, to Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the final-year resident doctors, who are required to take these exams, are currently working on the frontline in all state government and municipal medical colleges assisting the clinical management of Covid-19 patients. <br />''<br />''He added that if the exams are held as per schedule, there would be a serious shortage of trained doctors during this very crucial period and so these exams should be postponed till December. He also requested that the entrance examination of super-speciality courses be conducted after the conclusion of final-year MD/MS exams. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Medical Education and Drugs Department (MED) has asked the Directorate of Medical Education Research (DMER) and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) to publish the timetable 45 days before exams for AYUSH and other courses. The MED also said that one day's gap must be given between each paper to the examinees.</span><br />''
