<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today urged the people of the state to be cautious while celebrating the festival of Diwali.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that he himself would be making use of social media to exchange Diwali greetings and appealed people to take care of themselves during the festival to prevent COVID-19 infection.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, it should be one's priority to see that neither those at home and outside are infected because of the infection of COVID-19.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, with Diwali just a few days away, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has reached out to the people of the state with an appeal to maintain caution.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that due to the second and third wave of COVID-19 the situation has become serious in European countries.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, in Maharashtra too, if people do not take care then there can be tremendous rise in cases of COVID.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said thousands of doctors, policemen, nurses, and medical workers are working tirelessly by forgetting the festival.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Thackeray said schools and colleges have to be reopened after Diwali, hence it is imperative to follow the golden rule of of wearing a face mask, wash hands and maintain social distancing while celebrating the festival. </span><br />
