<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today visited Bhandara district general hospital and announced that a team comprising Divisional Commissioner and Mumbai fire brigade Chief Mumbai Fire Chief P.S. Rahangdale will probe the fire incident in which 10 newborns died. He said, the incident will be thoroughly investigated, action will be taken and the culprits will be dealt with severely. He also spoke to hospital and health officials.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to reporters after the visit, the chief minister said that he met the kin of the victims and he could not find words to console them. Mr Thackeray also said that the fire safety audit of all government hospitals will be done soon. He said last year, the state health infrastructure was under a lot of stress due to COVID-19. He said the probe will determine if there was any negligence.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Ten babies died after the fire broke out on Saturday at the Special Newborn Care Unit of the four-storeyed district hospital in Maharashtra's Bhandara district town, about 900 km from the state capital Mumbai. The fire broke out in the early hours in the outborn section of the hospital. The outborn section is for children born elsewhere but referred to the government hospital for special treatment.</span><br />''  <br />
