<span style="color: #222222;">In the wake of an increasing number of cases of mucormycosis in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today gave his approval to the notification to fix rates for the treatment of the disease in private hospitals. According to this notification, cities have been classified while fixing rates for private hospitals to help poor people who can't afford high rates.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, as patients of mucormycosis are increasing in private hospitals in Maharashtra, a proposal to fix the rates for treatment of patients was submitted by Health minister Rajesh Tope to chief minister UddhavThackeray. Following this, the CM has cleared the notification and rates have been fixed according to the classification of cities. The rates for ward isolation have been fixed for cities falling under A class cities at Rs 4000, for B class cities Rs 3000 and for C class Rs 2,400. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In case of ICU and isolation, the rates for cities falling in the A category is Rs 7500, for B class cities Rs 5500 and for C class cities Rs 4500. In case of conducting an operation upon a patient, the state government has also fixed rates from Rs one lakh to Rs ten thousand in A class cities, Rs 75 thousand to Rs 7500 have been fixed for B class cities and Rs 60 thousand to Rs 6000 for C class cities have been fixed.</span><br />''  <br />
