<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery inaugurated a 1,000-bed COVID-19 hospital in Thane city via video-conferencing on Wednesday afternoon. He also inaugurated second phase of special ICU bed facility in BKC in Mumbai.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the virtual address, the chief minister said that the tracking and COVID-19 contact tracing needed to be ramped up. He said that in the last two months as many as 100 testing facilities were set up and lakhs of beds had been readied in Mumbai and Thane and some other parts of the state. He added that these measures had helped contain the viral spread in hotspots like Dharavi and Malegaon. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Thackeray also said that although the facility is temporary, it has state-of-the-art equipment to meet every medical need. AIR correspondent reports, the number of containment zones are also increasing, with the growing number of corona patients in Maharashtra . In Mumbai so far there are 823 containment zones and 4959 buildings in various parts have been sealed. Till date, the containment has been declared to control corona infection. Also police force was being deployed. Besides entire area where the corona infection patients were found was being sealed. However,  in accordance with the principles of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICSR), the city Municipal Commissioner has made some changes in the rules.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">So now the part of the house or building where the corona patient is found is being sealed to control the spread of the disease. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government today demanded from the Centre, COVID-19 treatment drugs remdesivir and tocilizumab in large quantity and at reasonable rate. Talking to reporters, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the state also wants the Centre to provide additional 500 ventilators for the treatment of coronavirus positive patients.</span><br />''
