<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured that the State will conduct an e-survey to assess crop damage due to natural calamities with satellite and drones from June and will pay compensation to farmers immediately. He was speaking at the one-day conference organized at Sahyadri in Mumbai.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Minister added that untimely rains, hailstorms and increased temperature over the past few days damaged the crops in the State. This year the State will do an e-survey by using technology which will ensure paying compensation on time and with transparency.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr Shinde said that the State government had announced the hike in compensation under the State Disaster Response Fund for crop loss due to vagaries of weather.
