<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured that the State will conduct an e-survey to assess crop damage due to natural calamities with satellite and drones from June and will pay compensation to farmers immediately. He was speaking at the one-day conference organized at Sahyadri in Mumbai.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The Minister added that untimely rains, hailstorms and increased temperature over the past few days damaged the crops in the State. This year the State will do an e-survey by using technology which will ensure paying compensation on time and with transparency.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr Shinde said that the State government had announced the hike in compensation under the State Disaster Response Fund for crop loss due to vagaries of weather. The State will also provide relief to farmers owning land of up to three hectares.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister directed districts to take necessary measures to avoid deaths due to lightning and heatstroke.</span></p>
