In Maharashtra, the cycle rally of Central Industrial Security Force, which started from Yerwada Jail in Pune in the morning, reached the historic Aga Khan Palace this afternoon. This rally, being held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was flagged off by CISF Additional Director General of Southern Zone Anil Kumar.   <br />''<br />''Earlier, a cultural programme was organized in front of Yerwada Jail from where the rally started. Yerwada Jail is the place where historic Poona Pact was signed when Mahatma Gandhi fasted to protest against the communal award. This place has been used as a prison by Britishers for Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadeobhai Desai during the 'Quit India Movement'. Marble memorials were put later on in the memory of Kasturba and Mahadeobhai as both of them breathed their last in this place.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Along the 1,703-km-long route, the rally will cover historically significant spots and birthplaces of heroes of India's freedom struggle, over a period of 27 days. A team of 12 CISF cyclists are participating in the rally led by an Assistant Sub Inspector. The rally will terminate at Rajghat, the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi, on 2nd of October. </span><br />
