In Maharashtra, one of the century-old hospital in the historic city of Miraj has been roped by the District Administration so as to cater to the patients infected due to COVID-19. Until now the government hospitals were used to admit and treat COVID-19 patients in Miraj, the southern city of Maharashtra but due to rise in number of patients and shortage of beds in the government hospitals the District Administration requisitioned 125-year old the Wanles Hospital to treat COVID patients.<br />'' <br />''A team of well- known medical experts, physicians and expert ICU staff are being appointed in the hospital under the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act. Besides, all latest testing and medical facilities are also being provided in the hospital to ensure good treatment to the COVID-19 patients. The hospital is bestowed with 'A' category under the State Government's Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. Hence the poor and needy can avail free medical treatment in this hospital as 100 beds are being earmarked to cater to such patients. <br />
