<br/><br/>Makar Sankranti, the festival of kite flying, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mumbai and all over Maharashtra. It is the season of the first sugarcane harvest in the state. The sugarcane crop is ready to be made into fresh jaggery which is used for the sweets made during this period. On this day, enthusiasts all across the state can also be seen displaying their kite flying skills.
