<span style="color: #222222;">A Chartered Accountant in Thane district near Mumbai has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody for allegedly generating fake Input Tax Credit-ITC to the tune of 92 crore involving fake invoice of more than Rs 500 Crores. Investigations by officers of CGST has revealed   that the accused had used the identity of a housewife to create a firm to commit the fraud. This case of detection of fake ITC is a part of special Anti-Evasion drive launched by CGST, Mumbai Zone which involve intensive data mining and data analytics using various IT tools. </span><br />
