Maharashtra BJP leaders' delegation meets Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari; Says, govt is shying away from facing opposition on floor of house

<span style="color: #222222;">A delegation of Maharashtra BJP leaders led by former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, seeking his attention to the fact that the government is shying away from facing the opposition on the floor of the house.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Following the Maharashtra government's announcement that it would hold just a two-day session of the state legislature next month, the state BJP has alleged that the three-party government is simply trying to avoid hard questions on various issues and the long-pending election of the council chairman.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mr. Fadnavis said the state government is ready to hold zilla parishad and panchayat samiti elections but does not want to face the house.
