In Maharashtra, even as there is a political slugfest over the issue of loudspeakers, a village in Nanded district has stood exception.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports that Barad, a village with a population of 10 thousand in Mudkhed taluka has stood exception as there are no loudspeakers on any of the places of worship. The village has eight temples, two Buddha Vihaar, a Jain Derasar, and a Mosque. However, at none of these places of worship, there are loudspeakers, courtesy of a decision taken by the Gram Sabha five years back. The Gram Sabha unanimously passed the resolution by taking the views and suggestions of the leaders from all religious groups on 30 January 2017. With no sound of loudspeakers, the students have been able to concentrate on their studies. Interestingly, the loudspeakers are also banned for any religious, political, and cultural programmes.<br />''<br />
